MacroSys has been awarded a U.S. Department of Education (ED) Multiple Award Task Order (MATO) 2006 contract. MATO is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity type contract whose purpose is to make available to all of ED's principal offices a streamlined, cost-effective, and expedited contracting mechanism. Task orders are issued through competition among vendors listed under MATO by firm fixed price, time and materials, or cost reimbursement type task orders.
The nature and scope of work of the MATO contract falls into the following five areas of expertise: research and policy analysis/assessment; research and evaluation design, data collection, and analysis; performance measurement; and program assessments. The majority of MATO tasks involve literature reviews and syntheses, data collection, data and policy analyses, statistical analyses, and descriptive and outcome evaluations relating to program performance or federal education policy.
